MILFORD TOUCHDOWN CLUB MEETING

WEDNESDAY JULY 15, 2009

Meeting began @ 7:05 PM by Shayne D’Orazio President.

SECRETARY REPORT – Minutes read from June meeting by Linda Taylor and approved as read.

TREASURER REPORT –Maryann Beurket reported that we received $8500 from the Lift-A-Thon. 78 pledges were given vs. 60 last year. She also reported on a new line item – Team Needs – things the athletic department won’t cover. MaryAnn is updating the list of who has not payed for their spirit pack from Lift a Thon.

COMMITTEE REPORTS –

Fundraising – Gold Cards - Steve Cooley was absent so no Gold Card report.

Kroger Cards -Darlene Bugajski requested that we order 200 additional Kroger cards to distribute at the picnic. Shayne approved the request.

Spirit Wear – We will not be ordering any new spirit wear this year until we sell the leftover from last year.

Picnic – Denise Sonntag was absent but the picnic was discussed. We will need to borrow the tents / tables / grills from the boosters. Linda Taylor will contact Nancye Bruck for permission. Linda will also ask Nancy about shed keys. Everyone is requested to bring corn hole sets. Maryann Beurket will post permit at the shelter and purchase all the paper products. Coach Fagan will send home the flyer again & the class reps are to send email to everyone. It was discussed that we try to get the Kohl’s workers for the picnic.

2-A-Days – Tina Termuhlen made a flyer to send home with the players telling them what is needed for 2-A-Days.

Film Night – Shayne still looking into film night. Shooters is the likely contender. Darlene has spoken with the manager at Bw’s and will ask her to send Shayne a letter concerning our attendance there.

MISC – Darlene Bugajski had discussed with Dave Meranda about the clean up of the stadium entrance. After looking at the August calendar it was decided that Saturday August 15^th would be the Stadium Beautification Day. We will do the senior walk as well as other things needed at the entrance and inside the stadium. The Eagle tunnel will also be cleaned that day. Parent volunteers are needed to help. Team pictures are also scheduled for that afternoon. Steve Cooley is taking care of the schedule banner to hang on the weight room roof. Linda Taylor will take the senior boys picture for the schedule poster to distribute in area businesses.

TEAM REPORT -   

Coach Fagan reported on the upcoming 7 V 7 tournaments. Indian Hill on 7/14, meet @ 4:15 no bus provided. Mini Camp next week M-F beginning @ 7:00 am. Tuesday 7/21 7 V 7 @ Kings, 6 teams will be there. Leave @ 4:45 play from 6-8:30. Thursday 7/23 Passing Tournament @ UC. Leave @ 8:00 AM First game @ 10:00 AM. Lineman will have camp from 7-10 AM. Shayne to contact Subway about donating for the UC tournament. Maryann will buy fruit/drinks/snacks.

Team Pictures on August 15^th. No water on site currently should be back on by the beginning of 2-A-Days.

MISC DISCUSSIONS – Hoodies need to be ordered in August this year. Coach Fagan to get list together Monday August 3^rd.
